Chris “Ray“ Savala was born and raised in Orange County California. At a very young age Chris was intrigued with art, fashion and the ocean. At the age of 14 Chris discovered his liking in hair artistry.
At the age of 17 Chris started traveling as a professional body boarder competing all over the globe as a professional athlete. During that time of traveling Chris realized he had an itch for hair artistry.
It wasn't until 2009 when Chris had a conversation with his two Uncles Alberto Borrelli and Steve Lococo who are both owners of a high-end salon in West Hollywood. Alberto and Steve knew that Chris was very artistic. While in their conversation his uncle went aside to grab a pair of shears to have Chris hold. Right away his uncles saw something different in Chris and told him to pursue a carrier as a hair stylist. By 2010 Chris enrolled into cosmetology school at Golden West College in Huntington Beach California.
In the springtime of 2011 Chris graduated from cosmetology school during that time Chris jumped right into the salon as a stylist. Chris appeared on the Country Music Channel as a hair stylist for the TV hit series “Bayou Billionaires". Along with doing hair for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, The Emmy’s, MTV’s Video Music Awards, The Grammy's and the Academy Awards. Chris has received training under stylists such as: Steve Lococo, Nicole Martin, Howard Jones, Michael M. Haase, Steve De Lorenzo, Renee Africa, Andrew Dale, Gary Glossman, Lorena Keep-Barron, Julie Mustoffa Meggitt, Stacy Joyce, Ana Montes, Jami Symons, Dennis Kil, Kevin Kahn and Paul Merritt.
